From Mayfair it is around an hour and 25 minutes and 65.5 miles by way of the A41 and M1; from the City around an hour and 34 minutes. Buckingham Golf Club advertises society days, corporate golf days and visitor tee times on its own site. The clubhouse has a balcony and terrace overlooking the 18th hole, and also serves private functions. Visitors, societies and corporate groups can play on most weekdays, with weekend play depending on availability; Wednesdays are closed to societies.
How the day runs
Guests are collected from offices, homes or hotels across London in the morning. A people-carrier takes a four-ball and their bags in one car. Drivers stay with the cars all day, so a late finish in the bar is no problem. Getting back to Mayfair takes around an hour and 25 minutes in clear traffic.
