Calcot Park Golf Club: a corporate day from London
Clients, colleagues and a round at Calcot Park Golf Club: collected in London, home by evening. The City is 49.2 miles away (around an hour and 9 minutes); Mayfair is 46.4 miles (around 57 minutes). Calcot Park Golf Club advertises society days, corporate golf days and visitor tee times on its own site. Calcot Park is a traditional members' golf club on the western edge of Reading, set within a private estate with a parkland course. Its signature seventh hole is a par three played across a lake to an elevated green, and the course measures about 6,275 yards from the back tees.
How the day runs
Morning collections run from Mayfair, the City or Canary Wharf, as the guest list needs. Four players and four bags fit one people-carrier; pairs travel well in a saloon. Drivers stay with the cars all day, so a late finish in the bar is no problem. The return to the City is around an hour and 7 minutes, quicker after the evening rush.
