Tidworth Garrison Golf Club
Tidworth Garrison Golf Club: a corporate day from London
From the office to Tidworth Garrison Golf Club for a company golf day. From Mayfair it is around an hour and 44 minutes and 83.3 miles by way of the M4 and M3; from the City around an hour and 56 minutes. Tidworth Garrison Golf Club advertises society days and visitor tee times on its own site. It is a tree-lined downland course on Salisbury Plain, associated with architect Harry Colt. A chalk base drains well, so the course is closed only a few days in an average year.
How the day runs
Each car is timed so the whole group reaches Tidworth Garrison Golf Club before the first tee time. Mix saloons and people-carriers to suit the group. Drivers stay with the cars all day, so a late finish in the bar is no problem. Getting back to Mayfair takes around an hour and 44 minutes in clear traffic.
