Chauffeured golf at Willesley Park Golf Club
Willesley Park Golf Club, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire: a car to the first tee and home again. Land for the course was leased from the Earl of Loudoun, and the wider Willesley estate was sold at auction in 1922. The fairways wander through parkland, woodland and heath in the National Forest, with views over Ashby de la Zouch. The 10th, Lakeside, is a 151-yard par 3 with the green about 60 feet below the tee, and the 18th, Ivanhoe, is 435 yards. The club's own site lists society days and corporate golf days. It is 91.7 miles from our Oxford base.
