Wimbledon by chauffeur
Wimbledon at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. In 2027 it runs 28 June – 11 July. The Championships have been held from 1877. Cars from Southfields leave from Augustus Road and drop off inside Car Park 8; cars from Wimbledon station drop on Marryat Road near Gates 12 and 13. Each visitor may bring one bag no larger than 40 x 30 x 30cm; larger luggage goes to left-luggage sites outside the Grounds. From Oxford, where Ravensley is based, the venue is about an hour and 22 minutes by road (63.4 miles).
How the day runs
For drop-off, the organisers' rules apply. Church Road is partly closed. Ride-share cars cannot pass the closure and must use drop-off areas on Marryat Road and Wimbledon Park Road. Registered debenture holders can request a pass for private chauffeur drop-off/pick-up in Car Park 5. Blue Badge drop-off is opposite Gate 13, Somerset Road. On dress, the guidance reads: no formal requirement; many guests dress up, and jacket and tie are not required even in debenture restaurants. Dress for changeable weather. The chauffeur stays within reach for the whole day and brings the car round when you are ready to leave.
