Chauffeur to Brighton Racecourse
Brighton Racecourse stages flat racing. First official race meeting held in 1783 on Whitehawk Hill. Flat racing from April to October. Free car parking; best reached via the A27 bypass and B2123 to avoid city-centre traffic. Its biggest days include Festival of Racing (August), Ladies Day (Summer). Dates already set for 2027: Season opener (evening racing) (24 April).
How the day runs
From Mayfair the drive is about an hour and 39 minutes via the M25, M23 and A23; from Heathrow, about an hour and 15 minutes via the M25, M23 and A23. From Oxford it is about 2 hours (110.6 miles). Dress: no set dress code; comfort encouraged. Only sporting team shirts and offensive fancy dress are banned. The chauffeur sets you down at the entrance for your enclosure, waits nearby through the card and is ready after the last race.
