Chauffeur to Plumpton Racecourse
Plumpton Racecourse stages jumps racing. On Plumpton Lane, 1.5 miles off the B2116 and eight miles from the A23 at Pyecombe. Free parking in the course centre via the railway crossing; cars can only leave between races. Helicopters may land in the centre by prior arrangement; light aircraft can use Deanland Airfield. Its biggest days include Sussex National (January), Easter Festival (March/April). Fixtures published for 2027 include Sussex National Raceday (3 January); Valentine's Raceday (15 February).
How the day runs
From Mayfair the drive is about an hour and 37 minutes via the M4, M25 and M23; from Heathrow, about an hour and 13 minutes via the M25, M23 and A23. From Oxford it is about an hour and 58 minutes (108.1 miles). Dress: no formal dress code; smart casual encouraged. Avoid offensive fancy dress and team kits. The chauffeur sets you down at the entrance for your enclosure, waits nearby through the card and is ready after the last race.
