Chauffeur to Goodwood Racecourse
Goodwood Racecourse stages flat racing. Record one-day crowd of 55,000 in 1953; the Festival now draws over 100,000 racegoers. Stages 19 racedays a year. Rank for Gordon and Lennox guests at the East Entrance; Richmond Enclosure pick-up at the West Entrance off Kennel Hill Road. Its biggest days include Qatar Goodwood Festival (Glorious Goodwood) (Late July / early August), May Festival (May). The 2027 fixture list is not yet on the course's own site.
How the day runs
From Mayfair the drive is about an hour and 49 minutes via the M25, A3 and A286; from Heathrow, about an hour and 25 minutes via the M25, A3 and A286. From Oxford it is about 2 hours and 9 minutes (100.9 miles). Dress: richmond Enclosure: men 16+ need suit jacket, collared long-sleeved shirt and tie. Gordon has no formal code (smart at the Festival); Lennox is casual. The chauffeur sets you down at the entrance for your enclosure, waits nearby through the card and is ready after the last race.
