The Cheltenham Festival by chauffeur
The Cheltenham Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse. In 2027 it runs 16–19 March. Four days and 28 races in total. Days are themed Champion Day, Style/Ladies Wednesday, St Patrick's Thursday and Gold Cup Day, which closes the meeting. Gates open at 10:30 on each of the four days, with a preview show in the Parade Ring at 12:25. From Oxford, where Ravensley is based, the venue is about an hour and 17 minutes by road (46.1 miles).
How the day runs
For drop-off, the organisers' rules apply. Drivers follow festival signage to a dedicated Pick up & Drop off car park and are asked not to use local roads or driveways. Hackney carriages use a signed point on the racecourse main drive; private hire follows pick-up/drop-off signs. On dress, the guidance reads: no formal dress code, though many racegoers choose to dress up for the Festival. The chauffeur stays within reach for the whole day and brings the car round when you are ready to leave.
