How the day runs
To Guards Polo Club, Smith's Lawn, Windsor Great Park for Guards Polo at Smith's Lawn, the car takes the A4 and M4. On drop-off, the published arrangements apply: enter via Blacknest Gate (sat nav SL5 7SA) and drive about a mile through the park. On ticketed event days cars may drop spectators at a designated cars turning point without a car pass, a short walk from the Clubhouse. All parking is unallocated and needs a car pass. The car stays on hand all day rather than leaving and returning. Coming back to the hotel takes about 51 minutes, plus the time the car parks need to clear. On ordinary race days, Royal Windsor Racecourse is about 44 minutes and Kempton Park Racecourse takes 46 min. Tickets come from the organisers; Ravensley has no link with any event and simply drives you there.
